Manager: Jalel Kadri
Key Player: Wahbi Khazri
Best World Cup Finish: Group Stage
World Cup Group: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia
Tunisia arrive at their fifth World Cup having gone through four managers in the last four years, they’ll be hoping that this won’t affect their performances and this will be the year they finally progress beyond the group stage.
Former Sunderland winger Wahbi Khazri will be Tunisia’s main goalscoring threat with Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri hoping that a loan spell at Birmingham City will bring valuable game time ready for this winter’s tournament.
The Eagles of Carthage’s squad is sprinkled with talent playing throughout Europe but reigning champions France and European Championship semi-finalists Denmark will prove tough tests for the Tunisians.
They certainly won’t be turnovers for any of Group D’s teams but they lack the quality to compete for a knockout stage place, expect a third or fourth place finish for the North African side.
