Brazil has knocked South Korea out of the World Cup with a comfortable 4-1 victory.
A scintillating first-half performance from the Selacao blew their opponents away and left them with no chance to challenge in the second half.

It took just 7 minutes for Brazil to find the breakthrough and it was through Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr when the ball fell to him in the box, with plenty of time he picked his spot and curled in a perfect finish to get Brazil off the mark.
Shortly after, Richarlison was brought down inside the box and Neymar (whose starting place was questioned due to an injury sustained in the group stage) stepped up and slotted it away to double their advantage bringing him within one of Pele’s goal record for Brazil.
The third goal of the night was a goal of the tournament contender involving some showboating from Richarlison, developing into a slick team move on the edge of the area as Casemiro slipped a beautiful pass back to the man who started it all to give Brazil their third.
The fourth goal was easy on the eyes too as Vinicius Jr looped over an audacious flick cross that Lucas Paqueta hammered home on the volley.
South Korean fans will have been worried at the break thinking their
team could end up suffering a whitewash defeat, and it looked like it could end up that way too.
Luckily for them, the second half was far less clinical for Brazil, as they managed to not allow them to score a fifth goal.
Liverpool’s number one Alison made some fine saves and was unlucky to concede, with a well struck shot by Paik Seung-ho being deflected out of reach providing a consolation goal for South Korea.
Following the full-time whistle, the entirety of the Brazil squad held up a banner for Pele as he watches on from his hospital bed in Sao Paulo.
On Saturday Brazil will meet for a quarter-final clash with Croatia who went the distance with Japan earlier today to come through their round of 16 match.
